Kim Bors has 30 years of diverse, global business experience across multiple industries in both senior human resources and general management roles. She has been a champion for transforming culture and embedding high integrity and inclusive business and people practices.
She joined Schneider Electric in September 2014 as the chief human resources officer and a member of the executive leadership team. She is focused on building a customer-centric and high-performance culture that attracts and retains great, diverse talent and provides significant opportunities for growth. She is driving the talent and people strategy to ensure the HR function is fully aligned with and enabling the business objectives, while creating a top-tier employee experience.
For the preceding five years, Bors served as vice president of global human resources, building efficiency, at Johnson Controls. From 2003 to 2009, she held senior executive positions in general management, human resources and communications, and China operations with IDEX Corporation. Her other experience includes time at Brunswick Corporation, Outboard Marine, Browning-Ferris, and Pennzoil.
Her academic achievements include completion of the Women’s Director Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management. She earned an MBA in finance and management and a BBA in organizational behavior and management from the University of Houston.
Bors serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago and as a member of the Economic Club of Chicago. She is the chair of the 2017 American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women campaign for the Chicago area.
